NCPD: Wantagh Woman Arrested After Caught With Stolen Car, Proceeds from Multiple Larcenies

Plainview, NY - April 20, 2017 - The Second Squad reports an arrest for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle which occurred on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 7:15 am in Plainview.
According to detectives, Second Precinct patrol officers responded to Plainview Road and Felicia Court for a person sleeping in a vehicle. Upon arrival they identified Jaqueline L. Sheridan, 39, of Wantagh as the person sleeping in the vehicle.
During the investigation a notification was received that this vehicle was taken from a Wantagh home without the permission of the owner. A further investigation revealed proceeds from several larcenies of autos which had occurred overnight in the Bethpage and Seaford communities were in the vehicle. Six larcenies of autos were reported in total.
Sheridan is charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and six counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. She will be arraigned on Thursday, April 20, 2019 at First District Court in Hempstead.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
