Lindenhurst, NY - April 20, 2016 - The ASPCA pledged $5,000 and a Minnesota business added $1,000 to the reward offered by Suffolk County SPCA bringing the reward to $8,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for duct taping the German Shepherd's mouth shut on April 9, 2016. Chief Gross said "we are all outraged by this despicable act of animal cruelty."

"This is a truly sickening case of animal cruelty, and the heartlessness demonstrated by those responsible is shocking," said Howard Lawrence, vice president of ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement. "While our ultimate hope is that these types of heinous acts never occur, this is a message that cruelty toward animals will not be tolerated in our society. We thank the Suffolk County SPCA for its commitment to finding justice for this dog."
