Syosset, NY - April 19, 2017 - The Special Victims Squad reports the arrest of an Elmont man for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child.
 
According to detectives, after an investigation from December 2016 through March 2017 several thousand images and videos of child pornography were downloaded from defendant Julio Aracena, 32, on his home computer.  
 
Detectives from the Special Victims Squad- Child Exploitation Section and the FBI Long Island Child Exploitation Task Force executed a successful search of the defendant’s residence. Defendant Aracena was placed under arrest at his employment in Farmingdale on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 9:43 am.
 
Defendant Aracena is being charged with four (4) counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child and four (4) counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child.  He will be arraigned on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
