Wesbury Man Arrested After Knifepoint Robbery of Acquaintance, NCPD Says
The First Squad reports the Arrest of a Westbury man for Robbery that occurred in Roosevelt.
According to detectives, a 42 year old male victim got into a car with a man known to him and two unknown males. Once inside the vehicle, defendant Ayman Hubud, 23, of Wesbury, drove to the intersection of Meyer St. and E. Greenwich St. He then took out a box cutter and informed the victim he was going to be robbed. The victim opened the car door and attempted to flee, but the defendant and the two unknown males caught him and assaulted him, kicking and punching him about his body. The subjects then took his book bag, cell phone, currency and medication. The subjects then fled the scene in the vehicle in an unknown direction. The victim suffered injuries to his head and back and was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.
On Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. the defendant was located and placed under arrest.
The unknown subjects are described as male black in their mid-20’s. One subject was wearing a red do-rag and the other had dread locks. There is no further description available.

Ayman Hubud is charged with Robbery 1st Degree. He was arraigned on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at First District Court, Hempstead.
