Authorities Seeking Armed Stalker Who Threatened 10 Year-Old Schoolgirl in Rockville Centre

The victim was approached by a male who tried to convince her to leave with him, and was threatened with a handgun and knife when she refused, cops say.

Rockville Centre, NY - April 16, 2018 - The First Squad is investigating a Stalking incident that occurred on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 8:30 am in Rockville Centre.
 
According to detectives, a female victim, 10, was walking to her bus stop in the vicinity of N. Forest Avenue and Maple Avenue, when she was approached by an unknown male who attempted to convince her to leave with him on foot. When the victim refused, the subject displayed a handgun and knife located in his waistband. The victim then ran towards students and parents standing at the bus stop. The subject fled the scene on foot. 
 
The subject has also been seen in the vicinity of Francis F. Wilson Elementary School. The unknown subject is described as a male black with black braided hair, a black braided beard and is approximately 30-40 years of age.
