North Babylon, NY - April 13, 2015 - Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey (R-Lindenhurst) recently had the honor of marching in the North Babylon Youth League Parade.  In addition to marching with all of the excited children and parents, McCaffrey also took part in a ceremony marking the official opening of another baseball season.

“I was proud to walk with so many local baseball fans of all ages to officially open the 2015 Youth League season,” said McCaffrey.  “The wind was blowing strong, but the sun was nice and bright, reminding us that spring is here and so is baseball.  After a long and brutal winter, we can once again enjoy our time outdoors with friends and family.  I wish the members of the North Babylon Youth League a safe, healthy, and fun season.”

The North Babylon Youth League has a long and proud history in the community.  According to its website, it was founded in 1957, to provide 5 to 18 year-olds the opportunity to participate in team sports in both baseball and softball. Source: http://nbyl.com/.
