Man Arrested for Robbing Blue Point 7-Eleven at Knifepoint, Authorities Say

Blue Point, NY - April 10, 2018 - Suffolk County Police arrested a man for a robbery that occurred on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Blue Point.
 
A man, armed with a knife, entered 7-Eleven, located at 49 Montauk Highway, at 3:33 a.m. and demanded cash. The robber then took the cash and fled.
 
The suspect was located nearby by Canine Section Officer Stephen McSweeney and his dog McClane. Joseph Arcuri, 31, of Blue Point was placed under arrest and charged with Robbery 1st Degree. He was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
