Legislator Anker Honors Retiring Soup Kitchen Director Carol Moor

Rocky Point, NY - April 10, 2018 - On Saturday, March 24, 2018, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker honored Carol Moor for her retirement from Director of "Invited In" soup kitchen at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rocky Point. For the past nearly 30 years Carol Moor has coordinated volunteers from Mount Sinai to Wading River to help prepare and serve hot meals every Thursday night to those in need in the community.
 
"I commend Carol fr her alturism. She saw a need in her community and has worked tirelessly to provide warm meals to those in need. I wish her all the best in her retirement," said Legislator Anker.
 
Under Moor's leadership as dirctor of "Invited In" soup kitchen, up to 75,000 meals have been served to those who attend their weekly dinners. She has also worked hard to secure grants and donations to ensure that the program can continue to help those in need.
