Roosevelt Teen Arrested for Robbing Hempstead 711

Hempstead, NY - April 8th, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Roosevelt man for a Robbery that occurred on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 3:25 a.m. in Hempstead.

According to detectives, the defendant Keith Q. Estrada, 19 of 98 Park Avenue entered the 7-11 Convenience Store located at 531 Fulton Avenue displaying a large black handgun. He demanded money from the 52 year old male victim/clerk and fled on foot with the proceeds. On April 7, 2014 4:43 p.m. Estrada was stopped by First Precinct Officers on Nassau Road. The officers discovered Estrada was in possession of a large black BB gun and a clear plastic bag of marijuana when he was placed under arrest.

Estrada is charged with three counts of Robbery 1st degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He will be arraigned on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
