TandyWear Boutique Features New Fashions For the Season

Written by Ls Cohen  |  08. April 2021

If last year was all about sweatpants, and facemasks that made a statement, this year is going to be a bit different, at least fashion-wise. According to Tandy Jeckel, owner of TandyWear, a women and girls fashion boutique in Commack, people are looking to break out of the casual, quarantine-enforced lounging around the house look. With vaccines being distributed and places opening up a bit more, there is at least a light at the end of the tunnel. A light that is going to brighten up their style choices.

“When the pandemic started a year ago for obvious reasons people were much more into leisure looks,” Jeckel said. “Now people are going out to dinner and taking vacations.”

This and the coming of Spring she says makes people want to go for brighter, happier colors to match the hopefulness we all want to feel about the future. People getting back into jeans - all kinds of jeans apparently.

“Skinny jeans, flared and wide legged, boyfriend jeans,” Jeckel ticked off the list of popular styles. “They’re shedding the sweatpants.”

With the return of some celebratory occasions women are also looking for holiday outfits like dresses for communions, confirmations and graduation parties. She says that flattering jumpsuits and tops are popular as are vacation looks.

What is the color of the season?

“White is very big,” she said. “Everyone is looking for white.”

After expanding their store last year, TandyWear’s stylists are able to fit every woman and girl into a trendy new outfit, no matter what your style or fit. They don’t stop with the clothes. Stylists will finish every outfit off with great new accessories. And it’s all at an affordable price.

“We have something for everyone,” Jeckel said. “Our stylists will put you together. When you come to TandyWear, you get one-on-one attention.”

You can shop online on their website TandyWear.com or visit the store at 89 Commack Road, Commack, (631) 623-6322.
