Minor Nabbed by Nassau Police After Throwing Rocks at Cars from LIE Train Trestle

Roslyn Heights, NY - April 6, 2017 - Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a 14 year old male Juvenile from Roslyn Heights for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 1:30 pm in Roslyn Heights.
 
According to detectives, while in the company of two other 14 year old juveniles, also from Roslyn Heights, the offender, while on a train trestle, spanning over the Long Island Expressway between exits 37 and 38, threw rocks at approaching eastbound vehicles causing windshield damage to at least two different cars.
 
A subsequent investigation by Highway Patrol officers led to the location of the juveniles and the identification of one of the three boys who was placed into custody. No injuries were reported as a result of these incidents.
 
The juvenile is charged with four (4) counts of Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree and two (2) counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. He is due in Family Court on 4/19/2017.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
