NCPD: Bank Robbery in Hicksville

Hikcsville, NY - April 5, 2014 - The Robbery Squad reports the details of a bank robbery that occurred on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 9:26am in Hicksville.
According to Detectives, an unknown subject entered the Citibank located at 255 N. Broadway approached an employee and verbally demanded money.  The subject indicated he had a gun but none was displayed.  The employee complied with the demand and the subject exited the bank with an undetermined amount of US Currency.  The subject was last seen traveling eastbound on foot toward the Dollar Store.  There were eight employees and six customers present in the bank.  No injuries were reported.
The subject is described as a male black, in his 30’s, 5’6”, wearing a black hoodie type sweatshirt, aviator style sunglasses, surgical mask, blue jeans and carrying a gray and black backpack.
