Man Drags Victim with Vehicle During Valley Stream Cell Phone Theft, Police Report

Valley Stream, NY - April 5, 2019 - The Fifth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, April 03, 2019 at 3:44 P.M. in Valley Stream.
 
According to detectives, a male victim, 38, had been communicating with a person interested in buying his phone and they agreed to meet near Ormonde Blvd, Valley Stream to make the sale. The subject arrived in a 5 Series BMW, Blue-Green in color and requested to inspect the phone before purchasing it; to which the victim agreed. The subject then attempted to leave with the phone and began to drive off. The victim grabbed onto the steering wheel and was dragged for several feet before letting go. The subject left scene northbound on Ormond Blvd. No injuries were reported.
 
The subject is described as a male black, approximately 20-25 years old, 5’11’’, slight build, trimmed beard and last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
