SCPD Crime Alert: Woman Wanted for Spending Fake $100s in Elwood

Elwood, NY - April 4th, 2014 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a woman who passed counterfeit currency at an Elwood pharmacy.

A woman used 10 counterfeit $100 bills to purchase two prepaid debit cards worth approximately $1,000. The woman was described as black, heavy set and wearing glasses.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
