Three Suspects Used Multiple Fake AT&T Accounts to Steal $15,000 in iPhones, Officials Report

Huntington, NY - April 4, 2019 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the men who opened fraudulent cell phone accounts in Huntington last year.
 
Three men opened multiple accounts at AT&T, located at 389 New York Ave., using fraudulent identifying information and received 12 iPhone Max phones on credit, which was never paid, between November 1 and 13. The phones have a value of more than $15,000.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about these incidents can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and your message to “CRIMES” (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com. All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential.
