Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone Joins Job Seekers At Annual Fresh Start Career Expo
Hauppauge, NY - April 3, 2018 - Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone joined over 165 job seekers at the 6th Annual Fresh Start Career Expo held at the County’s One-Stop Employment Center in Hauppauge on Wednesday, March 28.
Twenty six employers from various industries and organizations were on hand to meet prospective employees, schedule follow-up interviews and offer additional services. In preparation for the career expo many of the job seekers received professional business attire at no cost from the County’s Career Couture boutique.
The Fresh Start Career Expo is a population-specific job fair initiative created by County Executive Bellone that provides opportunities and services to previously incarcerated individuals. The job fairs help these individuals overcome employment obstacles due to their prior convictions.
