SCPD Crime Alert: Antique Silver Chalice Stolen & Pawned in Suffolk

Suffolk County, NY - April 2nd, 2015 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the owner of an antique chalice that may have been stolen.
 
A chalice that was given to a couple in 1922 for their 25th wedding anniversary was recently pawned by a 24-year-old man whose family had no connection to the item. Other sterling silver flatware has been pawned recently that also may have been stolen.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
