According to Natalie Malik of Levittown, a bag of potpourri purchased this past weekend from Riverhead HomeGoods contained more than just potpourri. Malik claims there was a snake in the bag and she has the 8-inch strip of fresh snake skin to prove it.

The worst part now is Malik fears for her life at home. She believes the snake has run loose in her house and she had a worker of a reptile store set up traps and run baking powder along doorways in hopes of tracking the reptile.

Malik claims she opened the bag of potpourri and poured it into a bowl that she placed on the table. The next day she found pieces of the potpourri on the floor and upon closer inspection realized there was also fresh snake skin.

Until Malik finds the snake, she also fears for her two teacup Pomeranians who live with her. It is not known whether or not the snake is poisonous.

HomeGoods  is informed about the incident and is looking into the matter to take appropriate action.
