Elmont Man Arrested for Selling Heroin

Elmont, NY - March 30, 2015 - As part of the Long Island Heroin Initiative, Narcotics/Vice Bureau detectives in conjunction with the Fifth Precinct Special Patrol Team report the arrest of an Elmont man for criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance  which occurred in Elmont on Wednesday, 03/11/15 at 5:30 P.M.
 
According to detectives, Matthew Slavinski, 30, of K Street, sold a quantity of Heroin to an undercover detective for an agreed upon amount of money.  On Sunday, 03/29/15, Narcotics/Vice Bureau detectives arrested the defendant on K Street in Elmont.  Recovered from the defendant’s apartment were glassine envelopes containing Heroin, loaded guns, rifles and cash.
 
Slavinski is being charged with three counts of Criminal Sale Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, four counts of Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, and three counts of Criminal Possession Weapon 3rd Degree.  He will be arraigned on Monday, 03/30/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
