Suffolk County Judge Arrested After Stealing 23 Year-Old Neighbor's Underwear, Cops Say

East Islip, NY - March 30, 2018 - Suffolk County Police on Thursday, March 29 arrested a Suffolk County District Court judge for burglarizing an East Islip home.
 
Robert Cicale entered a home on Donna Place at approximately 9 a.m. and upon realizing there was a 23 year-old female resident inside the home, he fled. The woman dialed 911, and responding Third Precinct officers located Cicale a short time later on Rosemary Place.
 
According to reports, Cicale was found in possession of the 23-year-old woman's underwear, but it is unknown if they were taken during the burglary Thursday or during a prior incident.
 
Third Squad detectives charged Cicale, 49, of East Islip, with Burglary 2nd Degree. Cicale was held overnight at the Third Precinct is scheduled to be arraigned today, March 30, at First District Court in Central Islip.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
