Huntington, NY - March 29th, 2016 - Hundreds of children and their families converged on Heckscher Park for the Town of Huntington’s “Spring Eggstravaganza.”

Children gathered treat-filled eggs in three age groups:  3-4 years, 5-6 years, and 7-8 years taking place in 20 minute sessions. There also were tables set up for face painting and crafts, as well as an area for parents to take photos of their children with the Easter Bunny.

Hundreds of canned good items were collected at this event and brought over to the outreach center at St. Hugh of Lincoln’s food pantry in Huntington Station.

Councilman Mark Cuthbertson, founder of the “Spring Eggstravaganza” stated, “I hope that everyone who came to Heckscher Park for the “Spring Eggstravaganza” had a great time.  I want to thank Ahern’s Landscape and Garden and Station Sports Family Fun Center for helping to sponsor this event.

Other family friendly, free events coming this spring are the Earth Day Expo in April and the Annual Tulip Festival in May. Be sure to check the Town of Huntington website for more information and we look forward to seeing everyone this spring!”
