Two Males Arrested for Criminal Sale & Possession of Marijuana in East Meadow

East Meadow, NY - March 25, 2015 - First Squad detectives report the details of two arrests for criminal sale and possession of Marijuana which occurred in East Meadow on Monday, 03/23/15 at 8:20 P.M.
 
According to detectives, Paul Kim, 29, , New Hyde Park and Mansur Wajid, 23, of Roosevelt, while in the parking lot of 1900 Hempstead Tpke., were observed by First Precinct police officers standing outside of their vehicles doing a drug transaction.  Defendant Kim handed over a plastic bag containing one pound of Marijuana to defendant Wajid, who then handed Kim an undisclosed amount of cash.  Wajid had his two children, ages 1 and 4 months, secured in their car seats in his vehicle.  Kim was also found to be in possession of Oxycodone pills at the time of his arrest.  The children were released at the scene to their mother.
 
Kim is being charged with Criminal Sale of Marijuana 1st Degree, Criminal Possession Marijuana 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 7th Degree.  Wajid is being charged with Criminal Possession Marijuana 2nd Degree and two counts of Endangering Welfare of a Child.  Both defendants were arraigned on Tuesday, 03/24/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
