Arrest in Rockville Center for Criminal Possession of a Weapon

Rockville Center, NY - March 20, 2015 - The First Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 1:10 a.m. in Rockville Centre.
 
According to detectives, Rockville Centre Police were called to Croxley’s Ale House located at 7 S. Park Avenue for a disturbance. Upon arrival they were informed the defendant Andrew J. Howard, 20, of Dunkirk Drive was asked to leave the bar and made gestures with his hands to the bartender that he may have a gun. When the officers located the defendant he was driving 2006 Infinity in the wrong direction of the rear parking lot. Howard fled the vehicle on foot leaving a loaded .38 caliber revolver on the front passenger seat. He was located and placed under arrest a short distance away. No injuries were reported.
 
Howard is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, March 20, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
