Suspect Wanted for Stealing Donation Jar from Lindenhurst Shop

Lindenhurst, NY - March 19th, 2015 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police First Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who stole a donation jar from an auto repair shop in Lindenhurst this month.

A man entered King Bear Auto Service Centers, located at 21 Sunrise Highway, and stole a donation jar that contained $108 on March 10 at approximately 9:30 a.m. The donations were being collected by the Girl Scouts for members of the military stationed overseas.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
