Deer Park, NY - March 19, 2014 - County Executive Steve Bellone and Commissioner of Health Services James Tomarken, MD, invite mature residents who are at risk of falling, have a fear of falling or who have fallen one or more times recently to attend a two-hour workshop entitled “Staying Independent for Life.” The program encourages adults to adopt behaviors that reduce their risk of falling and improve their quality of life.
