Franklin Square Bank Teller Arrested for Stealing $13k from Accounts

Franklin Square, NY - March 18th, 2015 - The Major Case Bureau reports the details of an arrest for Grand Larceny that occurred on Saturday, December 06, 2014 in Franklin Square.

According to Crimes Against Property Squad detectives, defendant Shakayra Lewis, 25, of Fulton Avenue, Hempstead while employed as a teller for Roslyn Savings Bank, 460 Franklin Avenue, along with another male subject (not yet arrested) used an account not belonging to her  or the unknown subject to deposit and cash 3 separate checks totaling $13,850.

The male subject entered the bank on two separate occasions; continue to the defendants work station to navigate the above transactions. The defendant was placed under arrest after surrendering to Nassau County Police detectives on March 18, 2015.    

Defendant Lewis is being charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and will be arraigned on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at First District Court, Hempstead.
