Man Arrested for Stalking Children Walking Home from School in Westbury

Westbury, NY - March 16, 2017 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Huntington Station man on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 11:20 pm for Stalking in Westbury.

According to detectives, a 39 year old father was alerted by his three daughters ages 15, 14, 11, and son age 13 that while  walking home from school an unknown male subject operating a 2007 Toyota did follow them and attempted to coerce them to enter his vehicle. The incidents occurred on Monday, March 6, 2017 and Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in the vicinity of Cross Street and Linden Avenue.

On Wednesday, March 8, 2017 the father observed the defendant following his children and was able to photograph the defendant William Renderos – Flores, 22, of Huntington Station before he sped off.

On Wednesday, March 15, 2017 after an investigation, detectives were able to locate the defendant William Renderos – Flores at his residence and placed him into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported.

William Renderos – Flores is charged with 2 counts of Stalking 2nd Degree, 4 counts of Stalking 3rd Degree, 4 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 4 counts Stalking 4th Degree,

He will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
