POTENTIAL IMPACTS ----------------- * OTHER COASTAL HAZARDS: Life-threatening rip currents are expected for all people entering the surf zone this weekend. Beach flooding and localized dune erosion along the Atlantic Ocean beachfront are possible during the times of high tide tonight through Saturday.

NCPD Investigating Church Robbery

Elmont, NY - March 17, 2014 - The Fourth Squad is investigating a Burglary that occurred between March 16, 2014 and March 17, 2014 in Elmont.
 
According to detectives, a maintenance worker for St. Vincent De Paul Church, 1500 DePaul Street, locked and secured the church on Sunday, March 16 at 9:00 PM.  Upon returning on Monday, March 17 at 9:00 AM, the worker noticed that an unknown subject broke the left side basement boiler room window and entered the church. A free standing poor box as well as a wall mounted poor box was pried, but the subject did not gain entry.  A church desk was also damaged.  There were no proceeds.
