Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph, or gusts of 46 to 57 mph, are expected or occurring. Suffolk Authorities Report Man Killed in Coram Single-Car Crash

Mark Farabaugh of Mount Sinai, 54, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, cops say.

Coram, NY - March 16, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a single-car crash that killed a Mount Sinai man on Thursday, March 15, 2018
 
Mark Farabaugh was driving a 2001 Hyundai southbound on North Ocean Avenue, just north of Pine Road, in Coram when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at 10:37 a.m.
 
Farabaugh, 54, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
 
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
