Williston Park Man Arrested for Stabbing Younger Brother Multiple Times

Wiliston Park, NY - March 15, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Williston Park man for Attempted Murder on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 7:50 pm in Williston Park.
 
According to detectives, the defendant Ruben A. Renderos, 18, of Willis Avenue, Williston Park told his 14 year old juvenile brother that he wanted to kill himself. He also stated before doing so he would also kill the victim so he would not suffer being lonely. Ruben A. Renderos then picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed the male victim multiple times in the back, head, and chest. The victim called his parents who were not home at the time and asked if they could call the police. Ruben A. Renderos then fled the residence on foot. Third Precinct Police Officers conducted a search and located the defendant a short time later walking on Jackson Avenue in the vicinity of Chaminade High School, Mineola. He was placed into police custody without incident. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for his wounds. He is listed in stable condition.
 
Ruben A. Renderos is charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Assault 1st Degree, and possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th Degree. He was arraigned on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
