NCPD: Hempstead Man Arrested for String of Nassau Burglaries

First Squad detectives report the arrest of a Hempstead man for four burglaries that occurred in Uniondale and West Hempstead beginning 06/10/13 at 9:15 A.M.

West Hempstead, NY - March 12th, 2014 - First Squad detectives report the arrest of a Hempstead man for four burglaries that occurred in Uniondale and West Hempstead beginning 06/10/13 at 9:15 A.M.

According to detectives, Malique Wilson, 21, of 60 Remsen Ave., Hempstead, entered the following residences through rear and side windows and removed assorted jewelry from the homes.

  • June 10, 2013 - Residence on Northern Pkwy in Uniondale
  • June 20, 2013 – Residence on Leonard Ave. in Uniondale
  • June 27, 2013 – Residence on Bell St. in West Hempstead
  • August 5, 2013 – Residence on Pamlico Ave. in Uniondale

Crime Scene detectives responded to the homes and secured latent prints on the day of the incidents.  The Nassau County Medical Examiners office revealed that Wilson’s latent prints had been recovered at these scenes.

First Squad detectives arrested Wilson on 03/11/14 at 262 Old Country Rd. in Mineola.  He is being charged with three counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, Attempted Burglary 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Wednesday, 03/12/14 in First District Court, Hempstead.
