Legislator Lindsay Honors Blue Point First Responders

Suffolk County Legislator Bill Lindsay attended Blue Point Fire Department’s monthly meeting to award Veterans Pins to First Responders who have also served our great nation in the military.

Blue Point, NY - March 11th, 2016 - Suffolk County Legislator Bill Lindsay attended Blue Point Fire Department’s monthly meeting to award Veterans Pins to First Responders who have also served our great nation in the military.

Special pins were created as part of a program to recognize those who served our community both in the military and locally, as firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians.

Those who were honored were: Donald Kern, Navy; Travis Meehan, USAF; Will Meehan, USAF; Robert Poucel, Army; Joseph F. Sauerwein, Army; Henry G. Sorensen, Navy; George Staudt, Navy; Jerry Stein, Navy.

“I am proud to honor these men and recognize their extraordinary commitment to our nation and to our local community,” said Legis. Lindsay.

“They truly exemplify heroism and bravery and I cannot thank them all enough for everything that they do to better our community.”
