Levittown, NY - March 9, 2015 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Levittown man for incidents involving Child Pornography that occurred during the months of November 2014 and January 2015.
According to detectives, Charles Powers, 54, of 30 Tower Lane, beginning on November 16, 2014 and continuing through January 10, 2015, uploaded, on his personal computer, numerous files of Child Pornography from a live internet video chat web site. The files depicted several young females, between the ages of 5 and 8, engaging in sexual conduct with an adult male.
A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Powers at his home on March 9, 2015. He is charged with 5 counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child and 5 counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 03/10/2015.
