Bayshore Man Arrested in Nassau for Criminal Sale of Controlled Substance

Hempstead, NY - March 7, 2015 - The Narcotics/Vice Bureau reports the arrest of a Bay Shore man for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance which occurred on Saturday, March 07, 2015 at 12:05 a.m.
 
According to detectives, the Nassau County Police Narcotics/Vice Bureau conducted an investigation as part of the Long Island Heroin Initiative. During the investigation the defendant Marcos Barrera Rivera, 29, of Bayshore Road, while on parole, sold a quantity of Heroin to an undercover detective for an agreed amount of money.  The defendant was placed under arrest without incident.
 
Rivera is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, two Counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled substance 3rd degree, one count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (attempt), and Violation Conditional Discharge. He will be arraigned on Saturday, March 07, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
