NCPD reports the arrest of Joseph K. Khanat of Franklin Square, 17, for making a Terroristic Threat.

Floral Park, NY - March 7, 2018 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Franklin Square man for making a Terroristic Threat that occurred on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 9:55 am.
 
According to detectives, Floral Park police responded to the Sewanhaka High School located at 500 Tulip Avenue for a suspicious/unusual occurrence called in by the assistant principal. An investigation determined that the defendant Joseph K. Khanat, 17, did post a photograph of himself over the internet posing with a gun and a caption using threatening words directed at the school. A second photo was also posted of the school on fire. The Defendant Joseph K. Khanat was placed into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported.  
 
Joseph K. Khanat is charged with Making a Terroristic Threat. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday, March 07, 2018.
