Expect around 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, Parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the Waterfront will experience shallow flooding. * Shoreline impacts...breaking waves will result in beach erosion and flooding with minor damage possible to dune structures during the times of high tide. * Timing...around the times of high tide tonight. Locations impacted include... Islip, Newark, Jersey City, Jamaica, Yonkers, Paterson, Elizabeth, Stamford, Flatbush, Norwalk, New Rochelle, Flushing, Passaic, Bayonne and Brentwood. Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter of a mile in this area of heavy snow. Snowfall rates will average between 1 and 2 inches an hour. Travel will be difficult and should be avoided where possible. Icy roads are possible as the snow melts on the roads then quickly refreezes. SCPD Crime Alert: Two Men Wanted for Shoplifting $1,500 in Merch from Bay Shore Lowes

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the men who stole merchandise from a store in Bay Shore in January.

Bay Shore, NY - March 7th, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the men who stole merchandise from a store in Bay Shore in January.
    
Two men entered Lowes, located at 800 Sunrise Highway, and stole 18 rolls of copper wire that has an estimated value of nearly $1500 on January 30. The men, who were described as Hispanic, were seen leaving in a white work truck possibly a Ford.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
