Update: Additional Charges Against Flushing Man Arrested for Selling 99 Counterfeit Morgan Silver Dollars

Update - March 20, 2014 - The Fourth Squad, in conjunction with the Crimes Against Property Squad, report on January 15, 2014 Natanel sold 98 counterfeit Morgan Silver Star dollars to National Pawn Brokers located at 265 Sheridan Boulevard, Inwood. On January 18, 2014 Natanel sold 199 Morgan Silver Dollars to Stein Family Jewelers located at 784 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square. 198 of theses coins were found to be counterfeit. 

Natanel is charged with two counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument and thirty counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument.
Detectives ask anyone who may have been a victim of a similar crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.

Natanel will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 03/20/2014.

Original Press Release - Garden City South, NY - March 5th, 2014 - Fourth Squad detectives report the arrest of a Queens man for criminal possession of a forged instrument that occurred in Garden City South on Friday, 01/31/14 at 4:30 P.M.

According to detectives, Allen Natanel, 27, of 67-17 Kissena Blvd., Flushing, entered Frucci Jewelers, located at 18 Nassau Blvd. and sold the owner one hundred Morgan Silver dollars for an unspecified amount of money.  The victim later determined that ninety-nine of the one hundred coins were counterfeit.  

Fourth Squad detectives arrested Natanel at his residence on 03/05/14.  He is being charged with ten counts of Criminal Possession Forged Instrument, Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Wednesday, 03/05/14 in First District Court, Hempstead.
