Fire Engulfs Building in Mineola, Investigation is Ongoing

Mineola, NY - March 3, 2017 - The Arson/Bomb Squad reports the details of a Fire which occurred on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:30 pm in Mineola.

According to detectives, Third Precinct officers responded to K’s auto repair located at 75 Willis Avenue for a fire alarm.  Upon arrival they discovered a fully engulfed building.  Six fire departments responded with over 200 firefighters to fight the fire.  The building, which was unoccupied, collapsed due to the fire.  No injuries are reported at this time.  The investigation is ongoing.
