Sag Harbor, NY - March 2, 2015 - Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce its Kids School Vacation Camp April 6-10 at Bay Street Theater. This camp is for boys and girls ages 7-12 and runs 9 am to 3 pm daily. Class size is limited and always sells out. The cost is $385 for the week per child.

The five-day camp will be led by Karen Hochstedler and includes instruction in acting, singing, dance, performance, and more. In addition, there are fun, creative theater games and improv to help develop skills and to encourage students to stretch their abilities as young actors. Students will learn standard songs and choreography, and are also encouraged to create their own original work. The camp ends in a performance at the theater for friends and family.

Laughter and learning are what kids will enjoy in working with Karen. Her broad experience, teaching and coaching all ages, drives her passion for developing necessary foundational skills in music and acting. She is a fun-loving person who relates well with kids. Over the past 20 years, Karen has found a multitude of ways to participate in the world of music and theater, while raising six kids alongside her loving husband. She is an accomplished pianist, singer, actress, photographer, and writer. She loves working with young people in the creative arts, and she finds great delight in helping young people discover their gifts and talents. She especially enjoys seeing them gain confidence about who they are, as they learn and grow.
