Written by Lon Cohen  |  05. March 2021

A new steakhouse has opened on Long Island that is lighting up the review sites with five star reviews and praise. Prime 39 officially opened for business on Christmas Eve and has been expanding service and hiring staff ever since.

According to a story in the LI Herald, owner Bryant Postell, a resident of Freeport, said he overcame a lot of obstacles to open his restaurant over a two year period including, of course, the coronavirus pandemic.

In the article Postell said his restaurant is a “rest-o-lounge,” combining the best of a restaurant and a lounge. The menu includes steak, seafood and vegetarian plates.

Prime 39 offers four 28-day dry aged steaks: petite filet ($36), short bone ribeye ($56), new York strip ($48), and dry aged cow ($75). They also offer barbeque salmon ($28), stuffed shrimp ($32), and roasted cauliflower ($21), among others. You can start your meal with a host of appetizers that include deviled eggs ($10), broiled oysters ($12), or mini lobster rolls ($18).
