SCPD Missing Person Alert: Woman Missing After Leaving Substance Abuse Program

Update - - March 1st, 2016 - Amber Cahill, the 28-year-old Central Islip woman reported missing after leaving a drug rehabilitation program has been located, unharmed.

Port Jefferson, NY - February 28th, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to locate a woman who went missing after leaving a Port Jefferson drug rehabilitation program.

Amber Cahill was reported missing today after she was last seen leaving St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson on foot on February 25 at approximately 9 a.m. Cahill, 28, of  Satinwood St., Central Islip, is white, 5 feet 9 inches tall with blue eyes and blond hair.


She was wearing a black sweater with leather patches, blue and red plaid pajama pants and black knee high boots.

Anyone with information on Cahill’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
