SCDHS Holds Public Seminar on Suffolk County's Food Protection Program

Suffolk County, NY - February 28, 2017 - The Suffolk County Department of Health Services will hold a seminar on Monday, March 13, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to inform the public and the business community of updates in the Food Protection Program. The seminar will be held in the department’s food manager training classroom, Room 134, 360 Yaphank Ave., Yaphank, and will be approximately 1½ hour in length.  

The presentation will include information on technology innovations, such as newly developed mobile food-safety applications and online portal, and a discussion of the concept of Active Managerial Control of foodborne illness risk factors in food establishments. Ample time for questions and answers will be provided.
