East Northport, NY - February 27, 2017 - Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta congratulated Keith E. Pecora at his recent Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony. Keith, a resident of East Northport, and a member of the Northport High School Track and Field Team, earned the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout through his journey as a scout beginning in 2010, followed by receiving special awards and holding various leadership positions and culminating with becoming an Eagle in 2016.

For his community service project, Keith designed, fabricated and installed a “Results Kiosk” at Sunken Meadow State Park, which will post the race results of the Section XI NYS High School Cross Country Track & Field race teams. Prior to having the Kiosk, the race times were posted on the side of a van, “You have achieved a distinction that can never be taken away from you and it will serve you well when you apply for college, as well as for a job. By earning this award, people will realize that every task you undertake that you will go above and beyond to complete it. Your achievement should be an inspiration to the younger scouts as a sign that they can do it, too, and that they should aspire to be the best that can be,” said Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta.

Legislator Robert Trotta represents the 13th Legislative District, which includes Smithtown, Fort Salonga, Kings Park, San Remo, Nissequogue, Head of the Harbor, and St. James, as well as most of East Northport and parts of Northport and Commack.

Legislator Trotta serves on the Legislature’s Economic Development, Environment, Planning & Agriculture, Health, Public Works, Transportation & Energy, and Ways & Means Committees.
