Suffolk County Police Commissioner Timothy D. Sini and Chief of Department Cameron issued a statement regarding threats to Jewish institutions today.

At this time, no specific threats have been reported to the SCPD.

Suffolk County, NY - February 27, 2017 - Joint statement from Suffolk County Police Commissioner Timothy D. Sini and Chief of Department Cameron regarding threats to Jewish institutions:

“The Suffolk County Police Department is aware of the threats that have been made to Jewish institutions in the region and across the nation.  We are closely monitoring the situation and in contact with our law enforcement partners, both local and federal.  At this time, no specific threats have been reported to our department. Out of an abundance of precaution, the Suffolk County Police department has enhanced patrols at synagogues, Jewish cemeteries and religious institutions.”
