Wantagh, NY - February 26th, 2014 - Recently, Patty Hichborn, the founder of the Shelter Dog Bed Project received an email from the Hempstead Animal Shelter located in Wantagh, New York. Chrissy Roselli DeAngelo, a volunteer at the shelter found the Shelter Dog Bed Project on Facebook. Upon contacting Patty, arrangements were made to provide the Hempstead Shelter with 100 much needed dog beds! Soon after, Chrissy drove all the way to Terryville, Connecticut to pick up the donation.

"We were thrilled to make this donaion happen," says Patty. "The project normally donates 10 or 20 beds at a time. We hope word of the project reaches more rescues and shelters."  Patty welcomes any dog rescue to get in touch with her regarding dog beds and other comfort items for dogs that she makes. Donations of fabric, comforters and pillows are always appreciated. Volunteers are welcome, which without, could not have made this amazing donation of 100 beds possible.

For more informatioin regarding the project, please email Patty. You can also find the Shelter Dog Bed Project on Facebook.
