West Hempstead Card Store Robbed at Gunpoint, Assailant Flees with Lottery Tickets & Cash

West Hempstead, NY - February 24th, 2016 - The Fifth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 12:00 pm in West Hempstead.

According to detectives, a male subject entered the Four Seasons Card Shoppe, 372 Hempstead Avenue, displayed a silver handgun and took approximately 122 scratch off lottery tickets and an undetermined amount of US currency from a 65 year old male victim working inside the store.

The subject then fled the scene on foot northeast onto Hempstead Avenue.  There were no reported injuries.  The subject is described as a male black, approximately 18-20 years of age with a thin build.
