Trio Arrested for Burglary After Homeowner Catches Them Fleeing the Scene

Roosevelt, NY - February 24th, 2016 - The First Squad reports the arrest of three men for a Burglary that occurred at 8:38pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in Roosevelt.

According to Detectives, as the male victim, 32, pulled into his driveway and arrived home he observed three subjects run out of the front door of his residence. As they ran past him, one of the subjects pointed a shotgun at the victim as they entered a 2006 Ford Focus bearing a NJ registration ZYF85D and fled the scene.

The victim followed the subjects in his personal car and contacted 911 for assistance.  Freeport Police responded and conducted a vehicle and traffic law stop of the subject’s vehicle at Virginia Avenue and Wilson Place in Freeport. The subjects were identified and placed into custody without incident at 9:40pm. No injuries were reported.  

All proceeds were recovered from inside the vehicle and from in front of a residence on Hudson Avenue, Roosevelt where they were discarded by the defendants as they fled.  The shotgun was also recovered and is listed as property of the victim; proceeds from the burglary.

Defendants Jordan Covo, 19, and Dillon Ross, 20, both of Old Hook Road Westwood NJ and Aaron Osorio, 23, of Freeman Avenue Bronx, NY are charged with Burglary 1st Degree.  All defendants will be arraigned on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
