WFHS Students Succeed at FBLA Regionals, Three Qualify for States

Mastic Beach, NY - February 23rd, 2016 - Recently, William Floyd High School Business Academy students and members of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) put forth strong performances at an FBLA regional competition held at LIU Post in Brookville where several students placed in the top five in multiple categories, including four top-three finishes which qualifies the students for the New York State competition in Rochester this April.

Congratulations to the following students: Austin DiGiantomasso, 1st place in Accounting I and 3rd place in Job Interview; Kaitlyn Hedges, 2nd place in Accounting  I; Patrick Moloney, 3rd place in Personal Finance; Jeramie Stoessel, 4th place in Accounting II; Venessia Heidrick, 4th place in Business Calculations and 5th place in Accounting II; and Jake Vargas, 5th place in Public Speaking II.

Austin, Kaitlyn and Patrick will compete in the State competition. Congratulations to the FBLA advisors, Lee Cillo and Kristin Puric, as well.
