Teen Mugged in Rath Park in Franklin Square

Franklin Square, NY - February 22nd, 2016 - Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 9:30 pm in Franklin Square.

According to detectives, while walking past Rath Park, with a person he believed to be a friendly acquaintance and known to him as “Herm”, the 15 year old victim was approached by four other male blacks all 15 to 18 years of age, two of whom were wearing red bandanas and one wearing glasses.

As they began to pass each other, the four males began punching and kicking the victim. The person he was walking with also joined the group and struck the victim. After taking his backpack, $60.00 in cash and his hat, all five subjects fled the scene.

The uninjured victim was unable to further describe the persons involved.
