Help Police Identify Man Whose Body Was Found in Wooded Area in North Amityville

North Amityvlle, NY - February 17, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify a man whose body was found in December 2016.

The body of a man was found in a wooded area just north of the Southern State Parkway and west of Route 110 in North Amityville on December 30 at approximately 11:45 a.m.

The man is described as Hispanic, between 25 and 40 years old, between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall with black hair. He was wearing three-quarter length denim shorts and white Nike sneakers.

Detectives do not believe the man was the victim of foul play.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
